melodyssongMusa is a girl with a lot of issues, mostly steaming back to her childhood. But beneath the tomboyish look and the tough on the outside personality she shows the world is a girl who lost her mother at a young age and has had to grow up without a mother, but she does hold a special place in her heart.
'I wish my debut could be like yours... Unfortunately you won't be able to see me tonight. But I'll be singing for you.'
As mentioned Musa lost her mother when she was young, but never the less she has left quite a huge impact on the girl in a huge way. Sure, Musa is still upset that her mother is gone and at one point during season three if given the choice to spend at least some time with her mother or choose to give that time up to gain the water stars, which for Musa was rather difficult and it was hard for her to give that up, but she did and as she had chosen, the 'mother' said she was proud of her. This is something Musa also wonder's when it comes to her mother. Do the things she does make her proud at all. It was even her mother that in a way got Musa to have a love of music and taught her a lot of stories and things that she used later on, such as the ability to call birds to her. Overall, her mother is a big influence to her life, even after she is gone Musa takes what time they had to heart.
Musa out of the girls is the one who at first sight would usually look like the tough one, due to her past, how she was raised and what happened, but the fact of the matter is, this is just a front that she shows to everyone that isn't a very close friend. Deep down Musa can be considered to be one of the more emotional of the lot, but she just isn't one to share how she is feeling to the others so easily, for example in season one it still took a while before she had admitted anything about her mother to her friends. However once you manage to get past the tough front, you find that Musa is generally a kind, caring and extremely loyal friend to have as she willing to put up with Stella in season five to a point when she was acting like a brat so were the words that were said.
Another point about Musa is she is very honest, or at best she will speak her mind. Be it serious or even a sarcastic comment such as season five when someone said 'Let's look under S for Sirenix' and Musa's reply was simply 'How about F for fat chance.' Sometimes however what she says can get her into a lot of trouble such as episode nine from season one. While in an area witches most commonly go, when confronted she spoke her mind and in the end was chased by the witches. It can also show that she can also be brave, but at the same time being rather careless in her actions and what she says.
When her mother died, Musa's father had pretty much forbidden music, but Musa had pretty much since she joined Alfea had shown to be clearly playing music and in one episode was even putting on a concert. This shows that Musa in her own way can be defiant to the point that even when she was threatened to be pulled out, she eventually did the concert, which ended well in the end. Because of this before season two it seems like their relationship wasn't as great as Musa's relationship was with her mother, but after season two it was much better as the concert brought them much closer.
Even though one of the other winx girls has shown to be the brains of the group it is in fact Musa who gets the best grades, as found out when it was mentioned in one episode. This shows that she does have the brains to be able to do the work, they just aren't used compared to Tecna's when they are trying to figure out solutions to problems. It could also mean Musa's more of a follower and not a leader as she is willing to follows others instructions should she be told to.
Her determination to get things done or to be able to reach for her dreams is a big part of Musa's personality and also a strength as it shows that even if they are in a hard time, that they can hope to overcome that the best way in which they can deal with a situation. Like most people Musa has a dream to perform and basically have a career in music, this is what gives her that determination to get things done and gets really happy when she makes that one step towards getting to said goal. So her personality of having a dream and her actually working hard to get it is a strength.
